Four Dimensions was established in Muscat in 2021. We keep the studio small on purpose, so the people you meet first are the people who draw your building.

Talk to us

We work on interior design, architecture and landscape. Every project starts on the site and ends on the site.

The studio was established in Muscat in 2021 and there are seven of us. We draw by hand first, build models early, and test every idea at full size before it is agreed.

We take on a small number of projects each year. That means nothing is handed to a team you have never met.

How we work

See a house get built

  • Start on the ground

    01

    We walk the site before we draw. Light, noise, neighbours and slope decide most of the plan.

  • One idea, tested hard

    We take a single idea and try to break it, rather than carry five options to the end.

  • Draw the whole thing

    Structure, services and joinery are drawn together, so nothing is added on later.

  • Build models

    04

    Card and timber models at three scales. They answer questions a screen cannot.

  • Stay on site

    05

    We visit every week during construction and make decisions with the builders.

  • Come back after

    06

    We return a year later to see how the building is used and what we would change.
